We would like to share with you our current position on the dynamically moving impacts of COVID–19
16th July 2020
We launched our Online Cookery Classes at the end of March 2020. The support from our local communities has been amazing and has kept the majority of our small businesses running, so thank you to each of our customers for continuing to cook with us online. The fantastic news is that our online classes have been so successful that we will continue to run these alongside our physical classes in the future. As restrictions are now lifting we are working hard behind the scenes to enable us to return safely and within government gudelines to our physical classes. Ensuring our students and teachers are safe is our priority, we have been working on a new Covid-19 Risk Assessment, liaising closely with community venues and schools to ensure that our processes are complimentary to theirs and continuing to adapt what we need to, in order to be ready. We believe it is imperative to speak to each school/venue individually as they will most likely have different guidelines in place and may have different interpretations of the government guidelines. In addition to conducting the risk assessment for each venue it is important that staff and parents are fully informed of any changes to our normal practice, to ensure that new procedures are correctly implemented.
If you would like to see a copy of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Following on from the government’s announcement to close all schools, it is with much regret that we will be stopping our Smart Raspberry cookery classes and workshops across all our locations until further notice. The upcoming weeks are going to be tough, as small business owners we would really appreciate your support during this difficult time.
Even though we won’t be able to offer your children the usual class format our aim is to still keep as many children engaged in cooking as possible over the coming weeks. We don’t want any of the children that attend our Smart Raspberry classes to miss out and we think if they can continue cooking at home it will give them something fun to do.
We ask that you would bear with us for a few days as we work behind the scenes to adapt our cookery classes for online learning.
Thank you in advance for your patience and we hope and pray for peace for you and your families at this uncertain time.

COVID-19 – Statement
Smart Raspberry Cookery School has always been committed to maintaining high hygiene standards in our cookery classes. Our teachers have all been trained in food hygiene best practice and take the proper precautions to keep areas safe and clean. Since the news of COVID-19 we continue to educate children on personal hygiene and are re-enforcing the following rigorous hygiene standards;
- We are ensuring all children and teachers follow a thorough 20 second hand wash with antibacterial soap at the beginning and at the end of our classes
- We continue to clean all contact surfaces with sanitisers before, during and after classes
- We are not allowing children to share bowls, utensils and equipment during our classes
- Where possible we are also providing antibacterial gels and foams for use throughout our classes
For peace of mind about re-booking for next term or onto one of our upcoming workshops we would like to reassure you that there is no-risk in you booking. We will either offer you a full credit or reschedule the class for another day if we have to cancel the class, the school is closed, if your child is in self isolation or feels unwell due to the coronavirus and is therefore unable to attend.
Please rest assured that we are continuing to closely monitor the latest guidance issued by the Government (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public) and the NHS (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/) and how it relates to our activities and will be in touch with any updates.
