  • Healthy

We ensure our recipes are nutritional and well balanced to encourage healthy eating into adult life. We offer a vegetarian course and vegan substitutes can be provided on request.

  • Cook At Home

We offer a home based opportunity for young people to engage and be inspired in cooking nutritious food from scratch. This course is also suitable as a stand-alone course for those that would like to develop their cookery skills before leaving home or for young people that are home schooled.

  • Skills and confidence

We hope to provide our students with essential life skills that will stick with them into adulthood, but will also boost their confidence now; the satisfaction to be gained from cooking from scratch should not be underestimated.

Here’s what a few of our parents have said about the course:

“I couldn’t recommend this course highly enough for the Duke of Edinburgh… ’learning a new skill ‘ element. My son thoroughly enjoyed the variety of recipes covered & indeed the flexibility to alter/personalise them. As a mum, simply overseeing his efforts, I learnt a few new tips too! Smart Raspberry were fabulous in their approach & super responsive with any queries or questions asked. On completion we received the report & certificate required in less than 24 hours! “Don’t hesitate & book this for your child now!” Hansen’s Mum

“My son has just finished his Bronze DofE cooking skills using the Cook At Home scheme from Smart Raspberry. As a complete novice the recipes were all of an appropriate ability for him, well laid out, nutritious and encouraged the learning of various different skills such as measuring, chopping, kneading and whisking. I definitely noticed a building of his confidence over the course and this introduction to cooking will hopefully provide him with some life skills to build on in the future. Some of the recipes we’ve now made several times.”  Anita
